Your website keeps running whether you’re watching it or not. End of month is when the small gaps between what’s live and what’s current become visible to customers — a seasonal banner that should have come down, hours that don’t reflect what’s actually happening in August, a contact form that quietly stopped working.
None of these announce themselves. A new visitor just sees a business that isn’t paying attention.
Four things worth checking before July closes:
1. Remove any content that references July — banners, offers, expiring copy. It will still be live on August 2nd if you don’t take it down.
2. Tap every social media icon in your website footer. Verify the links work and the feeds show current activity.
3. Open your Google Business Profile and confirm the phone number, hours, and address are accurate. Add any August schedule changes now.
4. Open your contact or quote form on your phone and submit a real test inquiry. Did it send? Did you get a confirmation back?
That last one catches more people than any other. A broken contact form is a quiet revenue leak that most business owners don’t discover until a customer mentions they tried to reach them and never heard back.
