When a Mobile Element Is Centered Against the Wrong Container

The symptom A component looked correctly positioned on desktop, but on mobile its visual center did not line up with the content it was supposed to sit beside or beneath. The issue was not simply that the element itself was incorrectly centered. It was being centered relative to a wider parent/container than the narrower content column the design visually belonged to.
Investigation The important distinction was between the element’s own alignment and the width of the containing block used to calculate that alignment. A full-width WordPress Cover or section can contain a narrower text/content column. An element centered within the full-width section can therefore appear visually off-center relative to the text column.
The workaround A small responsive horizontal adjustment was introduced for the affected mobile presentation. The ZU2B implementation uses a `translateX(10%)` adjustment in the mobile rule to compensate for the relationship between the full-width container and the narrower content area.
Troubleshooting lesson When something appears visually misaligned even though its CSS alignment is technically correct, inspect **what container it is being aligned against**. “Centered” does not necessarily mean centered relative to the content the visitor perceives as the center.
Important distinction This is a **layout-specific workaround**, not a universal recommendation to use `translateX()` whenever something looks off-center.
